This page explains what information gwmaccessories.store collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you can get it removed. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Who we are
GWM Accessories operates the online store at gwmaccessories.store, selling aftermarket parts and accessories for GWM vehicles. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means the business behind that store. When it says "you", it means anyone visiting the site or placing an order.
We are the data controller for the information described here. Our store runs on Shopify, which processes data on our behalf as our platform provider.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what an online store genuinely needs to function.

We never see your full card number. Card details are entered directly into our payment provider's secure systems and are never stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation that the payment went through, plus the last four digits for reference.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, and we do not ask for identity documents.
Fitment information you send us
When you email us to check whether a part fits, you may tell us your vehicle model, variant, build year and country. We use that information for one purpose: answering your question accurately.
We keep those conversations so that if you write again later, we already know what you drive. We do not sell them, share them with manufacturers, or use them to build advertising profiles.
Cookies and site analytics
Our store uses cookies, which are small files saved by your browser. Three kinds:
- Essential cookies keep your cart and checkout working. The site cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read and where they leave. We use this to improve guides and fix problems, not to identify individuals.
- Marketing cookies measure whether our advertising reaches the right people. These only run where you have consented.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout; blocking the others will not affect your ability to shop.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of established service providers, and they receive only what they need to do their job:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders
- Payment providers, which handle card and wallet transactions
- Shipping carriers, which need your address to deliver your parcel
- Email service providers, which send order confirmations and, if you subscribed, our guides
- Analytics providers, which report anonymised traffic patterns
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not trade email lists, and we do not pass customer data to advertisers or vehicle manufacturers.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud against our store.
International transfers
We ship worldwide, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own, including where our platform, payment and shipping partners operate. Where data leaves your region, we rely on our providers' standard contractual protections to keep the same safeguards in place.
How long we keep things
- Order and transaction records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years
- Support and fitment emails: kept while the relationship is active, then deleted on request
- Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: retained in aggregated form only
When a retention period ends, records are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information, where no legal duty requires us to keep it
- Stop marketing to you, at any time
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
Email info@gwmaccessories.store and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can request your data.
In the EU and UK, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In California, you may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and opt out of any sale, though as stated above, we do not sell personal information.
Marketing emails
We only email you marketing if you asked for it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and unsubscribing never affects your order or support.
Order confirmations, shipping updates and return correspondence are transactional messages, not marketing, so they continue regardless.
Keeping your information secure
Our store runs over SSL encryption on every page. Payment data goes directly to PCI-compliant providers. Access to customer records is limited to the people who handle orders and support.
No online system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly, and explain what happened.
Children
Our store is intended for adults buying vehicle accessories. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced to newsletter subscribers.
